2023 - Present

Technical Assistant
Industrial Light and Magic
San Francisco

  • Built a pipeline-compatible inverse rendering calibration system that significantly reduces manual effort for artists and improved fidelity of camera parameters.

  • Reproduced and extended a research-based camera calibration method using PyTorch3D, adding new capabilities including lens distortion modeling for various lenses.

  • Worked in a production environment utilizing Git, Jira, C++, Python, and PyTorch; leveraged PyTorch’s CUDA support to accelerate camera calibration and rendering performance.

  • Operated in a Linux-based environment using Python, Flask, Cron Jobs, Jenkins, and Docker, contributing to the stability and scalability of global pipeline infrastructure.

  • Independently studied Kubernetes for Developers (LFD259) and earned AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate.

2021 - 2022

Graduate Student Researcher
AVIS Lab, UC Santa Cruz

  • Two pending publications and an award-winning presentation

  • Hands-on experience developing Machine Learning Models for real-world applications. 

  • Working with Santa Cruz County to integrate our Rip Current Detection Software into their lighthouse. 

  • Applied full ML arch: field data collection, data labeling, model architecture selection, training, and testing. 

  • Trained models using Google Cloud Platform: GPU Virtual Machine instances based on TensorFlow images.

2021 - Present

Graduate Teaching Assistant
UC Santa Cruz

  • Assisted in teaching: Programming Abstraction in Python (4 Semesters) and Systems Analysis and Design.

  • Handled course logistics and held over 150 hours of lessons. 

2020

Software Engineering Intern
Hyperledger Fabric

  • Developed the fundamentals of working on a large Open-source project.

  • Inspected the fine details of Blockchain Technology.

  • Applied popular industry technologies including Docker, Node.js, Go, and MongoDB to develop Blockchain applications.     

2019 - 2020

Student IT Consultant 
Faculty Instructional Technology Center, UC Santa Cruz

  • Worked with IT department to resolve web-based and multimedia issues.​

  • Provided in-person, telephone, and online support to faculty for a broad range of instructional technologies and tools.

  • Contributed extensive support for the Learning Management system (Canvas) and the creation of online content.
